Welcome to Disqode. This guide helps you create your first collaborative coding session quickly and confidently.
Getting Started Video
Step 1: Sign In
- Go to the home page.
- Click Login with GitHub.
- You will be redirected to your Dashboard.
Tip: You can right-click the login link and open it in a new tab while keeping this guide open.
Step 2: Create or Join a Room
Create a room
- From Dashboard, click Create New Room.
- Pick a repository and room type.
- Share your room code with teammates.
Join a room
- Click Join Existing Room on home or Join with Code on Dashboard.
- Enter the room code.
- If the room has interview protections, follow the prompt (password, link, or waiting approval).
Step 3: Start Collaborating
- Open files and begin coding together.
- Use shared chat for discussion.
- Use kanban and whiteboard for planning.
- Run code directly in the terminal panel.
Pro Tips for Your First Session
- Start with a small task everyone understands.
- Use chat for quick context instead of editing over each other.
- Commit often to keep progress visible.
- Share the Supported Languages page before coding so everyone knows runtime options.
