Welcome to Disqode ("Disqode," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), headquartered in Pennsylvania, United States. These Terms govern your use of https://disqode.com and all related services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If under 18, you must have parental permission.
2. Access and GitHub Authentication
Disqode currently uses GitHub OAuth for sign-in. We do not provide native username/password account registration or separate email verification for login.
By connecting your GitHub account, you authorize us to receive account details needed to operate the Service (such as your GitHub username, profile data, and available email information). You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your GitHub account
- Managing your GitHub permissions and connected applications
- Activity performed through your authenticated session
3. Service Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, limits, integrations, or access methods. We may also release features in beta or preview form that may be less stable.
4. Free and Paid Services
Disqode offers free features and paid subscription plans. Paid plans may include recurring monthly or annual billing. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize us and our payment processor, Stripe, to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees, taxes, and any applicable overages until canceled.
You are responsible for keeping billing information current. We may change pricing with reasonable notice as permitted by law. Continued use of paid features after a pricing change takes effect means you accept the updated price.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Refunds may be requested within 7 calendar days of an initial subscription purchase. Refunds for renewals, partial billing periods, promotional plans, misuse, or violations of these Terms are generally not provided unless required by applicable law.

You retain ownership of content you create or upload (for example code, text, files, comments, room content, and profile content).
By using the Service, you grant Disqode a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your content only as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or platform safety requirements.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Violate laws
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Upload malicious code
- Harass or abuse others
- Attempt unauthorized access
- Abuse shared infrastructure or attempt to bypass workspace, room, or execution limits
- Use the Service to distribute spam, scams, or deceptive content
Violations may result in suspension or termination.
8. Third-Party Services and Integrations
Disqode relies on third-party services, including GitHub and Stripe. Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, policy changes, security incidents, or account actions outside our control.
9. Intellectual Property
All Disqode software, branding, and systems are owned by Disqode or its licensors and are protected by law. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
10. Privacy
Use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Termination
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, security concerns, or misuse of the platform.
12. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Disqode is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the Service.
If Disqode is found liable for any claim, our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or
- USD $100
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Disqode and its team from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
16. Dispute Resolution and Class Action Waiver
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt informal resolution for at least 30 days.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and not in court, except for qualifying small claims matters. Class actions, class arbitrations, representative actions, and jury trials are waived.
